How do I make a biodata?
Open the app and sign in. Fill in your details — name, education, occupation, family, photos. Choose a theme. Tap Share. Your biodata is ready as a link. It takes a few minutes, and it is free.
I already have a biodata as a PDF or an image. Do I retype everything?
No. Upload the file in the app and it reads the details for you. Check the fields it filled, correct anything that looks wrong, and save.
Which phones does ShareLync work on?
Android and iPhone. You can also open and read any biodata link in a normal web browser, with no app installed.
Sharing your biodata
What do I actually send to people?
A link, not a file. It looks like sharelync.app/p/your-name-a1b2. You send it on WhatsApp the same way you would send a photo.
I changed my biodata. Do I have to send the link again?
No. The link always shows your latest version. Everyone you already sent it to sees the update the next time they open it.
Who can open my link?
Only a person who has the link. It is not listed anywhere, it is not searchable, and there is no directory of members to browse.
Can I stop sharing after I have sent the link?
Yes. Delete your biodata in the app, and the link stops working immediately for everyone.
Your account
I signed in on a new phone and my biodata is missing.
Sign in the same way you signed in before. If you used your phone number, use the same number. If you used Google or Apple, use the same account. Your biodata comes back on its own.
I signed in the same way and it is still missing.
Open your own biodata link while you are signed in. That proves the biodata is yours and restores it to your account. If you no longer have the link, write to us and we will help.
I changed my phone number.
Write to us from the email address you use, and tell us the old number and the new one. We will move the account for you.
Notifications and inquiries
I got a notification about an inquiry. Who sent it?
Someone opened your biodata link and responded to it. Open the Inquiries screen to see it.
Why does the inquiry say "Someone" with no name or number?
That person chose not to leave their name or phone number. We show only what they agreed to share, so we cannot see who they are either. When a person does leave their details, you see their name and a button to message them.
What do "Mark contacted" and "Dismiss" do?
They are for your own record. Mark contacted keeps the inquiry and notes that you replied. Dismiss removes it from the list. Neither one sends anything to the other person.
Privacy and deleting your data
Can ShareLync read my biodata?
No. Your details are encrypted on your phone before they leave it. Our servers hold only the encrypted version, and we do not hold the key.
How do I delete my biodata?
Delete it in the app, and the link stops working at once. You can also use the deletion page on this website, which works without the app.
Do you sell my data or show me advertisements?
No. We do not sell your data, and there are no advertisements inside your biodata.
